If you did it around 7:30 and Esplenade last year it would have been French Roasted. Unfortunately, it was with playa dust outbound from the man, so it was merely dry roasted...

I still remember the guy wearing sandals and a grin. Red as a lobster. The doctor saw, sighed, and said "we get a lot of those".

I've encountered many a naked person at the greeter's station, but never at the gate. I'll check, but I think that up til you get through the gates you are, for all intents and purposes, in Defaultia

While in camp, I rarely wear anything. If I do, it is because it is early morning or late and it is too cold. When I leave camp during the day, I will at least tie one or two shamagh around my waste and one around my neck. My ass is literally covered when I sit on my bike or anywhere else. The other shamagh is in case of a dust storm or other need for covering my head, along with my goggles and possibles bag, for unforseen likelihoods of being out longer than anticipated.

We wash many guests feet and other body parts with vinegar water from a spray bottle. Lemon water is just a wee bit sticky. SPF 75 works for me. Feet, forehead, shoulders and tender bits get daily generous slatherings of cocoa butter lotion.

Honey, stop by here when in the neighborhood! Clothing is most definitely optional here!

Is San Francisco the only (permanent) city in the US where public nudity is not illegal?

Define city...
Judging from the experiences of San Francisco and Berkeley, there are probably places that haven't outlawed it because no one's doing it.

PORTLAND OREGON

has naked bike rides. from the website

"The Portland Police Bureau recommends that all riders at least wear a helmet and shoes to avoid any potential injuries. Being naked in public in Portland is legal if it falls within the guidelines of ORS 163.465"
— From a Portland Police Bureau press release

ORS 163.465. Public indecency

(1) A person commits the crime of public indecency if while in, or in view of, a public place the person performs:
(a) An act of sexual intercourse;
(b) An act of deviate sexual intercourse; or
(c) An act of exposing the genitals of the person with the intent of arousing the sexual desire of the person or another person.

(2)
(a) Public indecency is a Class A misdemeanor.
(b) Notwithstanding paragraph (a) of this subsection, public indecency is a Class C felony if the person has a prior conviction for public indecency or a crime described in ORS 163.355 to 163.445 or for a crime in another jurisdiction that, if committed in this state, would constitute public indecency or a crime described in ORS 163.355 to 163.445.

also 2 officially sanctioned nude beaches nearby. Collins Beach on Sauvie Island and about 3 miles of beach at Rooster Rock State Park

I been saying for a couple years how I wear my bumper toe Keens sockless many days. Well, I do, I ride around with 'em and do the little walks all the time. But the head bearing kinda seized on my bike causing me to unexpectedly swerve into oncoming traffic occasionally so I walked till I figured out how to fix it. And I wore the Keens one day. The spot where the strap rubbed against my heel just about wore through my heel. Pretty sore. Luckily I caught it before it was a blister or bloody, just put a sock on it. Lesson here. Something you think you been doing may not be what you're really doing. When I actually walked a few miles on playa in those Keens it hurt, riding my bike, though was fine. That night I treated my feet similar to the above and the next day it was OK. Wore the Keens again barefoot on bike without incident and will again. Life. Is. Good.
