I am saddened by the yellow and red at the PEX. If they return next year I will find some time to moop the dance floor. I really enjoyed the DJ that played after Burn Wall Street Saturday night. It wasn't the same old stuff.

HD Moop Map for Day 2
For some reason Rapidshare lists it as 0x0 pix, but when you DL it it's the normal 4668 × 3676 pixels.
On that note: Still looking for a place to host the big files... Any suggestions?

I deleted the older ones, except the final 2011 map for comparison. Rapidshare only allows you to store so much.

Anyway, want to remind everyone this isn't a scientific overlay with exact proportions. I just combined the Satellite pic and the moop map blog post image in photoshop. It isn't 100% accurate, and should be used only as a rough guide. The final one should be out this week, and I'll whip up a comparison of 2011 and 2012 combined to see the changes over those 2 years.
(My camp was all green again this year, yay!)

Damn, we were all green but for a red spot right around where the windmill/evap pond were. We were taking it down right around the time the whiteout hit, and I don't know if all the holes got filled in or what. Part of that area had our evap pond, and that should have been fine-we filtered the water before it went into the pond, and it was clean enough to shower with until it got a bit full of playa dust. I was mooping as the windmill came down (except for the part where it started to come down a bit too fast....)

It just dawned on me they didn't show the rim of the city on the moop map like last year. Remember the black spot on the playa-side corner of esp and 10? No mention of those areas this year... Wonder how bad they were. Also wondering what the general condition of the playa was. The city wasn't that messy to me, but the open playa seemed much worse this year.

After Tuesday's rearrangement of dust and other flight-worthy matter, I'm convinced nothing was as it seemed hours prior to departure.

As-far-as the red spot near our DPW, we did have FOUR significant holes there, and I do admit to not personally inspecting that area when visibility was down to 10 feet. I was a bit distracted in at least FOUR DIRECTIONS simultaneously. It was also the area where our trash bags were piled. Some things make me go "hmmmm".

wow.. thanks for this - it really helped in getting an idea of what was going on. My camp is now left wondering WTF happened to the people across from us - they'd squeezed into a spot by the bike course.. but seemed to be really anal retentive with keeping stuff clean - yet they ended up RED!.

Don't think it was the garbage bag area; I mooped that over & over, starting when the load left with Roller. But the holes for the windmill tether.... I know I didn't fill them. Damn.

I was driving out in about zero visibility.
