"The little Morning Glory who could"
Late last May, well after the first frost, as instructed (i ALWAYS do as i'm told) i planted a whole bunch of morning glory seeds. They sprouted quickly, and started to grow happily, but ...... i had a terrible time getting them to grow on the supports i had provided, and i was too lazy to tie 'em up. because they stayed low to the ground, they didn't get sufficient sun. Also, the sprinklers weren't working. And speaking encouraging words didn't seem to help much, for some odd reason. But finally, in late August or so, i DID manage to tie them up and get those sprinklers working, and guess what ,,,,, they started growing like mad!!!!! so i got all excited, as they grew and grew, and started making flower buds, and everything .... and then that accursed weather report predicting frost appeared. it became a race ...... and this morning, after looking at my dahlias and tomatoes drooping from the partial freeze last night, i went over to the morning glories, and this is what i found:
