I recently read that Newton was into the number 7, and Indigo was named into the spectrum as a color to bring the number up to a pleasing 7. I've also read that Orange and Indigo were added later to bring the spectrum from 5 colors to 7, to match the whole note musical scale.

I think it was because Roy needed a vowel in his last name.

I have the feeling 2013 will be centered around water in some way. I had a dream about being at the burn where 1/4 mile around the man in a circle was a pool and they made a lightning storm to ignite the man... don't know that we'll get quite there, but, I do feel water will be at the pinnacle of 2013's theme.
