1. Don't take photos of feather costumes on playa. Photo-snapping crowds make people (including observers) think they're doing it right.
2. Don't post photos of feather garb on the playa. Stop giving bad ideas to potential newcomers.
3. Post photos of feathers on the playa with a big disclaimer photoshopped on: "What NOT to do at Burning Man!" followed by a brief explanation of why feathers, plants, etc. are bad.
Is that so difficult?
Oh, yeah, you can also not share feather photos. It's a shame to boycott an entire gallery for a few bad examples, though.
