eplaya Silly Season = Decline & Fall

The board gets a little weird in the second half of august... People start leaving, others are swamped with preparations. Tensions rise as deadlines loom. Those staying being dig in for a week or more of almost no one on the board... And sometimes the posting gets a little goofy.
Do trolls come out now, too? or is that just a coincidence this year?

This year we have more safeguards and obstacles to spammers in place, thanks to Trilo. No doubt there will be spam getting in, and clueless posts. Technically the mods can access eplaya while at the event, but it takes an effort, so ... yeah, that's happening.

I thought my productivity at work would increase due to the declining number of posts, but now I find it hard to concentrate since the burn is so close. I'm spending all my time thinking through my plans over and over.

Yesterday my boss called me a "Lame Duck"
For the last week and half I've been asking "what do you need before I leave" twice a day and doing nothing more than the bare minimum. But, they know that when I come back in September I'll be good to roll and get back to the 10 hour days.
