Moving this thread over to Policy Discussion, since it seems to me to be less about a tickets discussion and more about policy of either the site or the BMOrg in general.
In years past, whenever stuff like lost & found info has been posted or ticket info has gone out, it's included a link to ePlaya. And the ePlaya has always been an online community and resource for people to get information about the event or to discuss things related to Burning Man. This is where people go to freak out, complain, express concerns, ask questions, and bubble with excitement about Burning Man. Those things have not changed.
What has been different is that for the first time in many, many years the mod team is pretty fully staffed. That's afforded us the opportunity to not only stay on top of the spammers a lot better, but to proactively work with the BMOrg to improve things around here. Ongoing technical and organizational changes to the site, as well as improved communications that allow us (moderators) to try and get answers and help the site be a better resource. All fuckoism and jackassery aside, the Burning Man community is an incredibly helpful bunch, and as a result both the mods and most of the users on the site generally try to be helpful to one another. That's a good thing.
If you don't care to read the tickets discussion board because right now it's a lot of people coming in asking questions and you're tired of it, don't read it.
