looking for a good thrift store in Reno

Hi,
I've got a list of thrift stores in reno to get some supplies as we are flying in and renting a car this time. I don't have time to run all over town trying to find a good one so was hoping some Reno peeps here could lend a hand. We are getting some cooking stuff, plastic cups, plates, etc. Many thanks and we'll be at the World's Most Inviting Climate camp at 3 and J serving cold, fresh fruit (monday thru friday) so come by and say hi and refresh that dusty tongue.

I'd say the ones located on 4th street are your best bet. Start at Salvation Army, they had a TON of kitchen type stuff the last time I was there. The prices were really good for kitchen things.

on oddie blvd. they have saver's as the big one, surrounded by other smaller ones and in the same parking lot. the next block over is another large thrift store.

I suggest dollar stores for kitchenware.
There is a new, big 99c store on S.Virginia but haven't had a chance to check it out yet.

We would wash everything we purchase and give it back to the store as long as it's still in good condition. I've done that with clothing here locally. Basically the store gets to sell it twice.

I agree the ones on Oddie Blvd. Savers always has lots of kitchen stuff. Don't forget to check the stuff hanging on the wall in baggies. I picked up some silverware packaged that way for the Market. The other one that was mentioned is a large Goodwill, next to it is their Bargain Bin where you pay by the pound.

Savers get really picked over by people in Reno who go to Burning Man. Your best bet would be one of the other ones in town. Bargin Bin/Good Will on Odie and St. Vincents on 4th street. Most of the really small thrift shops dont have a lot of selection. You could also check Junkee on Virginia, they are kinda like a thrift shop, they also have a Burning Man section with costumes and stuff, sometimes and they serve beer and hot dogs while you shop..
