High school football was fun because I actually knew the players, college = sure, whatever . . . and I watched a couple of Packers seasons (and not just because it was an excellent excuse to eat bacon and drink beer at 10am with friends, although that was certainly delightful). But if there was a game--or any show--I wanted to watch that fell during Burn week I would record the game and rest assured that by the time I got home, I could easily catch a several-day-old game without spoilers.
Coming back to society three days after a game is not the danger zone of spoilage. It's not like the morning after, when you have to avoid the news cycle, or the first few hours after a game, especially in town, when someone is likely to walk up to you on the street and say "Did you see the Wolverines' winning touchdown? Smith's pants fell down! It was awesome."
