Female Female EL wire conection

So I got my el wire in today and my sound kit in the other day. Damn things are both male so I need a female female to attach them.

something like that. any one know where i can get this at? I have looked and not been able to find it.

If you don't have one and you don't need to plug and unplug them, just cut the ends off, strip the insulation, twist wires together and put some tape around the connections. You can't switch them up.. it doesn't matter which wire goes where with EL wire.

You would have to crimp your own connections and with those little connectors (they're known as "JST" connectors) and you you need a special tool to do so.

If you somehow have a soldering iron around and some solder, then melt some solder into the twisted wires before you wrap them for a more solid connection.

yeah i need to be able to switch the sound control mod out to my other el wire so i need the adapter. I was just thinking i could do this say like you have a male female pin on a cord for a computer you can buy adaptors. Sorry not el wire smart. hope you get what im saying.

I just went through my El Wire stuff. Most of it is from Coolneon. I have a bunch of those Female to Female connectors. I would try ordering from them.

Do you happen to have the part number? i am not seeing it.
white is my sound amp/battery pack thingy and the black is the el wire

I dont have the number. I don't see it on their website. Just ask for a double female connector.

Oops nm, I was thinking of something else. Where did you order yours from? Shouldn't they have connectors?

el wire was from ebay. sound thingy and battery pack was from cool neon

Call Coolneon. They should be able to help you. Those fittings are crimp only.. you can't go buy a pre-done one anywhere local.
