Orphan Endorphin Camp has been placed in the vicinity of 4:30 and B. We're gearing up for our participation level to match the great location. We will have The Orphanage Pub (hopefully with a pool table, foosball table, darts, etc), Daddy Warbucks Cigar Lounge, Endorphin Orphan Camp Radio on 105.9 and two fire pits.

Well, you're either our 4:30 side neighbor or across the street. Howdy, howdy, howdy.

Camp Atlantis also got placed at the 4:30 Portal and looking forward to rocking out with all of our awesome neighbors. As a first year camp we are seriously stepping up our game in this home stretch given the wonderful gift of this placement. We promise not to disappoint.

Kamp Suckie Fuckaye ( the Suck & Fuck Bar ) will be hooking up with Mystikal Misfits and, I believe, Black Rock Animal Control to form a village. We were also told by Placement that no trenching was allowed this year. Anyone know why? Most of KSF is a part of the Garnish fire conclave so we won't know if we're coming till mid July.

Good to hear! I was worried Misfits wouldn't be out in any organized form (early in the ticketing chaos). Love what both of you crazy groups of fuckers do!

And I believe the "no trenching" rule is just in regards to trenches crossing streets. There was mention, I think in the JRS, that even well-filled-in trenches across roads eventually made for shitty road conditions via soft inverted speed bumps after a few days of burning traffic.

We figured it was time to get back out into the thick of things and camp next to BRCAC seeing as how we were with their camp for half the burn last year. Saves us the trip from Gigsville where we've been the last few years.

Just found out that Cirque Du Cliche will be placed at 4:30 and Dandelion Wine, maybe a corner, SO super excited to be by a busy spoke this round! Loved our spot last year at 4:10 and A but we were actually on A, not the O'clock so it was a little less traveled. Across the street from us last year was this amazing camp called Rhythm Wave with a bamboo dance floor that you had to take off your shoes, it was wonderful.....Just found out that Rhythm Wave will be somewhere up at 4;45 and F this year, so that is great news as well!! I havent lived on D since 2006 and that was sooooo nice and starry I am VERY excited to get back a few blocks away from the core a bit to explore other vast worlds of burb!

Looking forward to reading this thread and getting to know my neighbors virtually a bit!

Cirque Du Cliche, if Placement sent you the correct address, you will know if you are on "4:30" or a cross street, "D" in your case.

As an example, if you were told "4:30 and D", 100' x 200'. You have 100' of frontage on "4:30", your lot is 200' deep, you are closer to "D" than to "C" or "E". Given the space available, you are probably on the corner of "D".

If you were told "D and 4:30", 200' x 100'. You have 200' of frontage on "D", your lot is 100' deep, you are closer to "4:30" the "4:00 or 5:00". Probably not on the corner of "4:30", since if you were on the corner they would have told you the first example.

However, the location descriptions are not very exact. Also, somethings camps get moved around at the last minute. Sometimes mistakes don't get noticed until Placement is putting out the flags. Then they have to get creative to make things fit.

And 100' x 200' doesn't mean you are actually even anything close to being a rectangle. This is especially true in the Plazas and Keyholes.

The key is to plan for the approximate size you were given, and then be flexible once you hit the playa as to orientation, corner, etc. It is always good to have a corner plan and a street plan.

It is important when giving out your address that you list the street of your frontage first. If you are on "B" a little ways from 4:30, but not on the corner, don't list your address as "4:30 and B", people will look for you on 4:30. List yourself as "B and 4:30", people will know your are on "B" near 4:30. Once you get there, you will know if you are at "4:20" or "4:40".

That is good info. thanks a bunch. Not sure what we were told, but I am going to go find out. Its fun to figure it out. I heard a rumor we might get a corner, when I visited the theme camp I now live in in 09 they were on that corner, so they were pretty much half on D and half on 4:30. It was exciting.

The Dusty Swan pub has moved from its location the past two years--we are now at 4:45 and H. See you there!

Looks like 4:45 and D is going to be a busy spot. Devachan Lounge is placed at Dandelion and 4:45 and will measure approximately 250 x 200 feet. The Light Trees from 2009 and 2010 will be in camp and there will be a large shade structure (the old Xara shade structure) housing a Tea Temple and yoga space. We have approximately 100 people in camp this year and two art cars parked there too. Yep, the city is going to be packed with people this year it would seem.

Howdy all! Camp Cul-de-Sac has long called this neighborhood home. But, alas, my illustrious camp mates and husband are taking a year off! There will be no walk-by movie theater, no giant lounge-dome full of tired happy campers, no boob slaps to keep me awake...

But I will be there! Mostly likely the only member of the Sac to camp in the neighborhood (one or two others have joined up with theme camps in other areas). Suppose I'll call my little camp The Orphaned Sac! LOL Some of you I know and recognize, some I've never seen or heard of before, but I'm glad you will all be there!
