Hippies get burned by The Man.

And they don't settle disputes in Thunder Dome.

They're not mutually exclusive.

- A burner is someone who has attended Burning Man and believe he/she will return.

- A hippy is a degenerate that feels entitled to mooch off society, and simultaneously complains about the society he mooches from. What separates hippies from the common parasite is that parasites realize they are dependent on the hosts they cling to.

Exhibit #1: A hippy rejects the world without realizing that he is intimately dependent on the power, automobiles, gasoline, clothing, etc. he uses.

This is pure blog fodder and troll bait...

Both hippies and burners seek family. Burners have more novelty seeking needs than the general population.

Burners think they are special, so some reject individuals and groups seen as not conforming to burnerology.

IMO.

A hippie wears a flower in her hair.
A burner covers her hair with a scarf and wouldn't wear a flower because it would create moop.

About what? Do burners care enough to go out of their way to attend a protest meeting if it is for the better good of man instead of their own personal interests?

Burners see a problem and fix it...rather than publicly bitch about it.

You may quote him, if you wish to do so. But you've got a 25K+ post count, so we all know you can't (and, of course, neither can I).

I know I have the ability, and perhaps the permission, I was asking if it's possible.

Other than us all feeling superior to whatever we're not, I do have observations about hippies at festivals. They keep to themselves. They like their camp to be very spartan. They would rather drink wine among themselves than go to the beer tent and drink beer for free. The only things they'll seem to take for free are little things like waffles in the morning. They are not big on material possessions. The male hippies do not dress flamboyantly. They prefer to be shirtless whenever possible. They do not make a big deal about LSD, mushrooms etc.; it's old hat, but that's true for everybody anymore. It is difficult to get to know them - probably because they protect their inner circle. They seem to talk quietly. They prefer to make their own music with acoustic instruments.
