Robert "Nevada Bob" Sacks passes away late last week. He was a long time burner, and his first few years on playa were with the BLM. When he retired, he returned as a participant.

We met in 03 (or thereabouts), when I joined The Chop Shop crew, which at that time had yet to actually name themselves. With his wavy gray hair, and long beard, he looked more Grizzly Adams than burner. But looks are deceiving, and Bob was more burner than almost anyone I knew. From that first day, I instantly took a liking to Bob, and for the next 8 years he became an integeral part of not only our camp, but of my burn.

He will be missed by all.

Well said, LeChat. Andy was one of a kind. On his sets he never allowed yelling or swearing. It was always a pleasant work environment. He was every bit as All American as he came across in his characters.
