Please help: I need place to give a talk.

I am a scientist and I would like to give a data-driven talk on the Playa this year about the science of climate change. The deadline to declare activities in the What Where When is coming up soon, but I can't find a good location to put it on. I am thinking all I need is a place to stand and seating/floor for ~20-30 people.

Thanks, Lemur! Earth Guardians was a great suggestion. I will be giving my talk on Thursday from 3-5pm at the Earth Guardians' place. Here is the summary:

"Climate Change: The State of the Science

Passionate about the planet but fuzzy on the science? Learn from a scientist about the causes, effects, and mitigation strategies for climate change.

We will begin by discussing the science of long-wave radiation and the impact of gases such as carbon dioxide on Earth's radiative balance. Then we will discuss both the sources, sinks, and scales of carbon dioxide on Earth, namely power production/transportation and photosynthesis, respectively. Finally, we will discuss potential strategies for mitigating climate change through reduced CO2 emissions through renewable energies such as wind and solar and by geoengineering schemes such as geologic carbon capture and sequestration, terraforming, and oceanic iron seeding.

This class will help you to understand the scale and importance of climate change and what you as an individual can do to make a real difference."
