DJs Wanted

Orphan/Endorphin Camp will be hosting an open deck for amateur DJs to broadcast on our camp's radio station (105.9 FM) and on our modest sound system. We will have a basic mixer with several inputs to plug in your laptop, or whatever gear you bring. Dubstep, House, Trance, or whatever you have in mind is fine. We will be scheduling a few 1 hour blocks per day. We discovered this need at the LunarBurn festival at PermaBurn last month. A few DJs walked in and set up shop and started spinning beats. We are also booking people who would like to be on-air radio personalities and/or disc jockeys. I worked in a 7th grade class that had an on-air radio station. The teacher had his students go out and get interviews with iPods using the Blue Fire voice recording app. The students sent the interviews back via email, but we will just bring the iPods back and wire them up the laptop for processing.

OK, so instead of rumours about Daft Punk and Kraftwerk, can we please start rumours about P-Hilt and K-Kard playing midnight sets at the trash fence?
At the very least, it might cut down on the demand for tickets next year.

Whoever signs up for a time-slot will get that time-slot - no doubt about it. If the person doesn't show up, well then it's music put on shuffle unless somebody wants to do something.
