Have been watching this thread since the beginning. Knew I was late in the queue by timestamp and had almost lost hope but got tickets today. I wish the best to anyone yet to be notified. I hope that the queue starts moving faster because the I know the uncertainty is the worst part.

FYI: I got two emails of being added to the STEP list so may have been around the time of the mail server crash. The second took a really long time to be received.

First email:

We're still waiting -- timestamp 12:16:55. So close, yet so ..... We have been saying "any day, now" for the past two weeks. We can use some magical rituals if you have some to spare.

Its like standing in a line with a bucket on your head. In my dream world we would be given a little hint as to how far the step line has moved.

I think it's reference or rehashing or something of an early 1970s pre-motivational poster poster. I think the original tag line was "Hang in there, baby". Maybe it was proto-TGIF...

I'm not sure what it meant at the time. I was a bit young at the time. Is there someplace that collects and explains pre-web memes?

Or maybe the tag should be "Don't worry, you'll land on your feet". I've just always found this poster uniquely absurd and enjoyed it for it's Winnebago-Man-esque pre-web charms.

It means outside of the BMORG releasing those fabled "extra" tickets into STEP, we will need to start combing the Craigslist.
