I hope the response to his misfortune gives him more stories of kindness to write about.
This week, we posted a story about West Virginia man Ray Dolin who was hitchhiking across America for a memoir called “The Kindness of America” when a random man in a maroon pickup truck pulled up on the side of the road and shot him in the arm. Tragic, right? And so ironic. It certainly made the perfect headline.
But alas, the whole story was a little too spot-on: the police stopped and arrested the suspect, 52 year-old Lloyd Christopher Danielson III, in a maroon pickup truck, and according to Montana authorities they found no evidence of him having shot someone. Then, after interrogating him at the hospital, police say Dolin admitted to making up the story in a desperate bid for publicity. The case is still open, but police have since found the weapon that they believe Dolin used to shoot himself in the arm.

yeah, isn't it somewhere "no live plants"?
...................................................To the best of our knowledge, we are the only camp that still has permission to bring live plant product onto the playa. This will be Shady Asylum's ninth time on the playa, but the last of those was in 2007. For the theme Fertility 2.0, we especially wanted to resurrect this project, have some living earth on the playa, and share the incredible experience of muddy toes, humid shade, and open hearts with our city.

Mystery mushroom? No, sex toy: 'It feels really fleshy and meaty,' says Chinese TV reporter
On 'Xi’an Up Close,' an excited local TV reporter described the discovery of a strange object unearthed by village well-diggers. She said it looked like a new fungi. It was a masturbation toy.

But lately I have been getting them from morons who forget to change the links from UPS to their own virus infested web sites. Hovering over the links shows they basically copied a real UPS confirmation verbatim and forgot to change anything. Not that I would actually click any of those links.
This appears to be an entirely new level of stupidity.
