Regarding the food, I would need some tips.
I can't bring any cooler, and the only tank to put my food for a week will be my bag.
I'm planning to bring dry fruits (grapes, prunes,...), almonds, cereal bars (a lot), and dry meet.
Is it possible to keep this kind of food in good conditions for a week without keeping it cool ?
Is one tupperware for each kind of food a good idea ?
I read bacon is considered as the "essential" food on the Playa. Why exactly ?
Thanks in advance for your opinion on that,
Kalouts

Thanks for your responses. It helps indeed..
Now I know what Chunky soup is, I'll bring some too.
Are you saying that I should not bring any dry MEAT if I do not have a cooler?
Your suggestion would be only canned meat, canned fish, and even canned almonds..
Makes perfect sense actually, thanks again for the tips !!
I was planning to distribute these ingredients too..
I don't know yet if I will be a solo camper, but I want to be prepared and be sure I have enough for me and to give..(Not only food I hope, I have other weird ideas..)
Take care guys,
Kalouts

Bring what you will eat. Better to have to do a little extra (and jerky isn't extra in my view--it's my go to protein source) and have something you'll eat, than to follow some list and find on-playa that you don't like any food you brought.
And thank you for taking the "meet" thing in stride. It really has everything to do with my brain going off track and nothing to do with any personal feelings about you. I don't actually spell well, but I do get confused with the wrong homonym.
kalouts1 wrote:Yeah, I tried to figure something out to keep the beers cold. And I arrived to this conclusion: I will bring Whisky ! It's easier to carry too..

FYI--the Eplaya Meet n Greet is most definately wet.
Stop me before I make fun of someone's spelling again.

I still remember the guy from year 1 who gave me a shot of rum on a cold night. He was tall and immense, with great long hair, a long dust-sweeping coat, and a beard. He looked like Hagrid from the Harry Potter movies. Such presence.
