From what I have seen, there really is none...

I do, however, have to be careful when I open stuff if I am at work or in a coffee shop... More than once "EEEP!!! - close, close, dam-you close..." - as i open something inappropriate for my location {tee-heee}

Essentially one has to assume that almost everything with a picture or video is NSFW.

Will Call is open the Wednesday @ noon, the week prior to the gates opening.

The will call window's open earlier than that, but Wednesday (early morning, either 6 or 8am) it opens and then just stays open until burn day.

@Wrainy - you get your will call tickets as you're going through the gate line once the event opens (or earlier, if you have an early arrival pass).

technically? maybe.....possibly.. if so probably frowned upon, i dont know for sure BUT..

if youre coming from Reno, its nearly 2 hour drive each way.. and the line for theme camps/art crews can get kind of long on saturday/sunday

i doubt very much that it would 'save' you 5~ hours of time to do.

Even coming from Fernley, you're talking about throwing away a few hours for the potential of saving minutes in line. You may want to consider connecting with other arriving burners for pre-burn fun (somebody in the group may even be staying someplace with a pool).

In previous years, when I've picked up will call tickets pre event, I was never asked for the EA pass (at the ticket window). Of course once you go thru the gate it gets checked. So it would have been possible.

However, with all the changes to the tickets, and non transferability of most non lottery tickets to prevent scalping, I wouldn't want to bet on it being the same this year.

Q: Can I show up early, before the Gate “opens?”
A: No! No one likes an “Early Emily.” Our permit stipulations issued by the Bureau of Land Management do not allow participants to arrive before the Gate opens, except for those who are involved in set up and have prior permission. We make an agreement with them about when the event starts, so if we allow people in early, then we would be breaking that agreement.

. . . . that could also mean BLM only wants people premeditated (EA holders) to be within the public closure area (which includes all of gate road), and event area before the event officially starts.

Plus is it really worth driving an hour or so one way, to sit in line for up to a hour or more just to get to the box office and maybe be asked to show your EA pass to pick up tickets? Then have to deal with a gate person so your car can be turned around (you have to think, stuff is set up to move traffic from the box office to the gate, not back to Reno). Or worse yet, get a ticket from a BLM ranger because you were in the public closure area when you shouldn't of been?

Personally, I wouldn't want to give the volunteers up front, or myself an avoidable headache. Fernley is a spiffy town worth hanging around in.
