The Great Canadian Beaver Eating Contest

Postby Dr. Pyro » Sun Apr 22, 2012 1:48 pm

I was asked recently where TGCBEC was held in 2011. I have no idea. Nor where it was held in 2010 or 2009 for that matter. I certainly know where it isn't held. Anybody know whether or not TGCBEC is still going on after lo these many years? I did not see it in the 2011 Playa Events guide.

Is this a euphemism for something, or are they actually eating the rodents?

I can't tell if any of these responses are even remotely helpful. I'm dubious on all except one. If you really do know the answer, why not PM me. I should have known better...

they asked to hold it one of the domes in 2009, however we declined, we had enough BLM and sheriffs hanging around as it was, we didn't want any more "watchers"...

I was able to dig this up, about 2010. Though, I haven't found anything for 2011.
I do remember it being discussed by one of the Theme camps last year, and specifically not being listed in the WWW.

I didn't see it by that name in the 2011 Playa Events Guide... However I did see a cunnilingus contest was in there.

The reason I remember it is because later that day in my travels I saw a camp with a sign out front for that event and that they were requesting volunteers. They apparently had eaters show up, but much like in the 1800s fur trappers had screwed up and... the Beavers had become scarce.

They apparently didn't take as many Pacific Northwest History classes as I had growing up.

Hi all, \\

It seems our camp has to issue this clarification every year, but the GCBEC hasn't been hosted at The Lost Penguin since 2005. Not sure where it is this year, but it's not at our camp.

Thanks
