Still waiting. The waiting game, where everyone is just waiting. Waiting for a bus to come, wait on freaking burning man tickets for 6 weeks now!

Sooo....do we know if the "6 weeks" stipulation is based on business days or calendar days? If it's based on business days, we have quite some time to wait. If it's calendar days, then we can all respectfully email the LIT program about our applications.

I thought it would be best to ask here first before sending an email and nagging a group of individuals that are probably fed up with our whining (mine included).

It's going to take how long it takes. There are multiple applications and the people who read and discuss them have other life concerns, jobs, families, giants' baseball. Turn this around: How long do you want them to spend on your application. A cursory glance? or a careful reading and consideration?

I don't have an application I purchased at full price. I actually do think they should have a glance system. Look at a particular section or the supporting documents and make a quick decision first. yes or no and then sort through the yes pile. In last years it was a first come first serve basis. I am surprised they seem to have changed that. To me, people on top of the process, the when and what should be given priority as they obviously have a vested interest.

HIP HIP HOOOOOOOOORAY!!!! My boyfriend just got a confirmation email and has been awarded a low income ticket!!!! I am on cloud nine. After the ticket lottery it was not looking good. But the playa has provided. I was gifted a ticket 8 weeks ago by a fellow burner who found me on eplaya and now my boyfriend has one. What a relief. He will finally be joining me this summer in the desert. I could not be happier.

Fortunately, I'm in STEP for two tickets (12:10:26) and I know of another friend in desperate need for a ticket. So close!

My son got his lit confirmation today so at least one of us will be there.

And for those who might wish to snark about it - no, I didn't apply for a lit. Since I socked away enough for a regular price ticket, I didn't feel it would be right to apply for LIT as a backup plan although my income may have qualified me for one.

So I am still in the hunting for tickets group.

myplayausername, I think you're supposed to file a fed&state tax return even if you made zero...I think it's termed "goose eggs" as in fill out the forms with big fat zeros...or if under taxable income level the gubbermint might still want your $ figures, just sayin'....I think'll they want to know eventually.

Still waiting to hear back, already looking at other options as far as orphan burns for the same week, looks like a 30 dollar burn might be more well suited to my budget lol.
