I prefer to read that phonetically, as in the Participant Fairy, a tiny burly man in a tutu and bunny ears who swoops down, tears cameras out people's hands and make do the Lindy Hop.

Special events team always spells it with an E on the end (though I never see them dressed in ren faire attire at the events). And whenever they get the chance, they like to capitalize it as FaIRE

I went and it was a beautiful day in SF. The event was a room full of tables from various groups seeking volunteers. High energy and fun. I found my nitch. A perfect fit. I'm gonna be a Greeter! Sure I have 2 other places I like to volunteer but I love the greeters. I can't wait. (Of course I was having a hard time waiting anyway). PLUS...that goodwill on Van Ness and Mission kicks ass.
