Mutant Vehicles Seeking Participants

Mutant vehicle teams, we know many of you need people. Not just people to join the party, but people who want to work and help you make the magic happen. Tell us about the kind of help and skill set you're looking for. Please don't ask for financial assistance or tickets here, this thread is all about connecting humans.

Here's how it will work. This is a working thread - only post in here if you're the leader or designated representative of your vehicle. If multiple people are posting, it's going to get confusing and your vehicle may not be able to get the help it needs. Off-topic posts may be removed by one of the moderators. If you need Use the following format:

• Mutant Vehicle Name (and web site or links to videos from previous years).
• What city you're based in.
• Description of your vehicle and 2012 plans - big picture stuff for now, you can get into the details with people individually.
• What you need. Be specific. Welders, carpenters, painters, truck drivers, on-playa drivers, mechanics, lighting/sound people, etc.

If you need to make a change to your post (something else is needed, positions get filled, etc), please contact one of the moderators with your request (to save time, include a link to your original post).

Burning Man is all about participation, and you want to help - that's awesome! if you see a mutant vehicle that's within your range that's looking for a skill you've got and you'd like to help... do not reply to this thread. Valley Monster 2.0 is looking for a welder to help built an mutant vehicle. I am in the city of San Fernando CA. and looking for some creative burners from the valley. If you can weld or just wanna connect with some burners from the valley please pm me if you want more info and a picture of the cars plans. Its a small project car and can seat around 8 to 10 people. This is my first Mutant vehicle so if you wanna help with lighting or just advice pm me also

Project Pinwheel is on the hunt for people all around the globe to submit a piece of themselves on a personal pinwheel! One can design and decorate the pinwheel with pictures, prose, your own art-- anything that can bend and be sent in the mail. The pinwheels will form the façade of our mutant vehicle.
We are based in Auburn, CA.

Hi All -

We (and our 30' steampunk locomotive) just relocated to W Oakland from Seattle. For 2012 we want to overhaul the motor and transmission for this behemoth. If you have resources for parts and the skills to install - please contact us! We hope to acquire some kick-ass campmates and are also looking for welders, builders, etc. to help with the aesthetic remodel of our car. Beau Le'Phant - the pink elephant is seeking participants . . .

We are based out of Chico, CA. If you live near us or can visit Chico in late-June and July, we will be rebuilding and making improvements to Beau.

What we need pre-playa is: an indoor space to build Beau, must have at least 15 feet vertical clearance (we have a possible space, awaiting confirmation), help with lighting, skin (pink parachute), Bling, etc. or you could help with the mechanical side, helping put the new suspension on Beau.

What we need on-playa: We will need part-time on-playa drivers, and spotters or helpers to help guide Beau (especially at night) and help folks on and off the rear stairs.

At this time we do not have any extra tickets BUT that may change as we have two folks that have scheduling conflicts and may have to back out.

What we will want is someone that can do Early Arrivel (EA) to help us build Beau. We usually have Wednesday EA, but do not start the Beau build until Thursday morning.
