I try to keep myself open to things I cannot change, but this theme is just odd. Too complicated, too esoteric, too intellectual. It seems as though they are really reaching on this one, but I can appreciate the effort that must have been put into it. I like the more uncomplicated themes, I.e. The Body, or the year of the planets. Simple and concrete. Easy to get behind and express and celebrate. But, that said, I appreciate all efforts the staff make in order for us to celebrate! I will do so despite the odd theme. See you all at home!!

I think there are much more exciting and idea inspiring themes instead of this one.

Yes it's official and no, there isn't. But as with any year's theme, you're free to ignore it and create and bring out whatever awesome masterpiece you like. Each year there's some great theme art, but some equally awesome stuff that has nothing to do with it at all.

I'm sure that Simon will be coming out with his alternative theme soon. Plus, Potatoes! is a wonderful theme. When in doubt, go with polka. Polka goes with any theme.
