Recipe & Directons:
Cut pineapple in half, core it and leave some pulpy goodness to marinate in the liquory goodness
(feed the pineapple to your friends or eat it)
Now you want to pour this directly into the pineapple:
Ice
Equal Parts Vodka & Rum
Equal Parts Orange Juice & Strawberry Lemonade
Splash of Ginger Ale
Top off with Blood Orange Soda
It may need some tweaking to get it just right but it is quite delicious.
I plan on making this on the Playa this year, it was a big hit at LiB hopefully it's just as enjoyable at BRC

Savannah wrote:Sounds fantastic. A mesh bag will be helpful to dry out the fruit remains. (If you don't dry your wet trash first, it'll stink up your vehicle during a long exodus.)
Savannah wrote:Yes, but larger. The largest one of those is just 9" x 9.25". Keep looking, you're on the right track. Heck, if you have a Daiso store in town (Japanese Dollar Store) they have mesh laundry bags for a buck/buck-&-a-half. I bought a small-ish one, but I think they had larger ones. I could probably fit 5 or 6 emptied pineapple rinds in it, one bought with this in mind might permit more. Target or similar might also have a larger mesh multi-purpose bag.
When they're dry as a bone, empty the mesh bags into plastic drawstring bags and re-use the mesh.
I don't have first-hand information as to how well pineapple keeps in that climate. It would be worth looking into, so you can determine whether this drink is a beginning of the week celebration, or a Burn Night revel.
Fresh pineapple is quite perishable. It bruises easily in spite of its seemingly armored exterior and will ferment if kept at room temperature for too long. If storing at room temperature, use within two days.
Storing at room temperature will increase the acidity level of the pineapple, but will not improve sweetness. You can extend the lifespan to three to five days by refrigerating the whole pineapple in a perforated plastic bag.

It's pretty easy to become an ordained priest/minister in Nevada right?

It doesn't have to be a wedding....it could always be a commitment ceremony.
