ive cooked lotsa dif foods on the playa... stuff that drunk people like... stuff that sober people like.. stuff for vegans and not..
one thing ive never had any sizeable leftovers of ............ potatoes
people will eat the hell out of some mashed potatoes or homefries or hashbrowns..
it truly is amazing...
one of my favored snacks on the playa is those packs of mashed potatos that you add only water to.. my word, that hits the spot.
just give me tons of salt and butter and ground black pepper... and i can live a few weeks on the playa
(vegan mashed potatoes suck, by the way)

Every now and then, Larry showed up with a bag of potatoes to give away, he had to sweep them out of the trailers. The small ones get left behind when they unloaded. Not so much now he's doing flatbed.
