Friends of Black Rock High Rock Hosting First Annual Christmas Gala Fundraiser

Gerlach, NV - Friends of Black Rock High Rock (Friends) is hosting their first annual Christmas Gala Fundraiser to be held in the Nevada Foyer at the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno on Sunday, December 11, from noon to 5 pm. The event is free of charge. Everyone is welcome to join the celebration of 2011 accomplishments, honor the hard working volunteers and raise funds to support Friends’ conservation and education programs in the Black Rock Desert. There will be live music, food, silent auction items and raffle prizes including two tickets to Burning Man 2012.

Friends is a non-profit 501(c)(3) member organization that was founded by various user groups, including recreationists, conservationists and ranchers who came together with a common goal to preserve the region and promote appreciation for the historical, ecological, agricultural, recreational and scenic resources of the beautiful Black Rock Desert. All proceeds will support Friends’ education and conservation programs.
