Ideas for 2012 Theme

Fertility 2.0 - Black Rock City is a kind of Petri dish. Theme camps cling in fertile clusters to its latticework of streets, artworks tumble out of it, like pollen on the air. These nodes of interaction mutate, grow and reproduce their kind. Burning Man communities have now escaped this capsule world: our culture in a Petri dish has effloresced - it spreads across five continents. This year's art theme contemplates the tendency of any being or living system to create abundant life.

Ideas for 2012 Theme

Ascension

The theme came to me and seems so apropos with all that has been going on especially in light of Rod Garrett's passing. This is 2012 we're talking about here and it's some powerful medicine.

I can imagine streets with names like Allah or Avatar, Au-set, Buddha or Buddistava or Brotherhood of light, Christ or Chukwu, Disciple, Elohim, Ganesha, Isis, Maniitou, Nut, Osiris, Ra, Saint. etc....

It could be terms of ascension from all over the world to include feminine and masculine. I just think the energy would be incredible out there on the Playa. Just wanting to add my little piece.

Hope and Fear was the theme in 2006. Besides I was thinking more like Fear and Loathing, or Burn MuthaFukka Burn.

Sorry, still a bit miffed over the ticket thing.

I was thinking Genesis or Eternity or Wonderland or something that affirms life/imagination, to counter all the doom-and-gloomers who think the world is gonna end on 12-21-12.

I know it's trendy right now to use the "Occupy ----" meme for everything, but I just saw an ad selling big-screen televisions that encourages you to "Occupy your sofa!" It's a damned shame that this really important message that so many good people have suffered for is already getting diluted and diffused.
