I read of the new theme in my FB.



Burning Man's Larry Harvey addresses the multitudes at last night's Artumnal Gathering fundraiser for the Black Rock Arts foundation, held at the gorgeous Bently Reserve in San Francisco. He also announced the theme for 2012: Fertility 2.0, presumably the result of much protracted headscratching under that famous Stetson. But once again I think Larry's nailed the zeitgeist of the day: with Planet Earth sagging under the weight of 7 billion humans, indeed we need a new idea of Be Fruitful.

If this happens to be the actual theme, it's gonna be a crushing irony as my SO and I will most likely have to miss this burn because we will be dealing with a one month old. I was actually hoping the timing would have shown the kid was conceived at BM, thus making Dusty the name of choice, but alas, the magic moment seems to have occurred at Decom instead.
