how about we avoid this whole ticket lottery problem by making burning man invite only..

here is the solution to all of the problems that exist:

give access to tickets via invitation only to all staff, volunteers, contract workers, theme camps and artists, cafe performers, conclave and mutant vehicle creators and low income people.

that way all people building projects get to go and they can keep working


then, once all of those people are in.. then you open lottery tickets to the people who arent working on anything "official"

That seems fair, because the wealthy can afford to pay and actually create anything with their hands if they must, so they are included.

In these times, everyone else is low income, so they are included.

I collected all the 2 cents from the panic thread and I am now no longer part of low income people. I guess I am royally screwed!

I agree they should make tickets readily available for those who have been loyal to BM for years (assuming they have a way to tell), and perhaps use this "lottery" system for newcomers.. but an elitist event, just won't fly.
