Someone REALLY likes whipped cream

At burning man i experience people who really like whipped cream... they leave the evidence everywhere, this year i saw the most shocking sight, maybe ever... at burning man..

i also heard on the radio about people being told to watch out for these little whipped cream cannister things around your personal area as they were possibly to be used as reason to search you,.. those things are dangerous!!!

Those little canisters are used to make carbonated drinks. No one in their right mind would eat that much whipped cream!

Those canisters could also be used for making some type of fancy dessert on the playa. Some sort of carbonated sherbert fruit cup for instance. There is no need to jump to false conclusions of drug use.

Whip-it's are indeed illegal in the state of Nevada unless being used for food or beverages. I met a Brit in 2010 who got something like a $1000 fine for being caught with the cannisters, the "cracker" and a balloon. Whip-it crackers can also be considered drug paraphernalia (also illegal in Nevada) if you are not using them for food prep.

If you're found with the canisters or paraphernalia and are not a kitchen (or in a camp serving some sort of carbonated beverage), they have probable cause. Not muddy at all in the laws eyes. Always remember, with anything considered a "drug" you are guilty until proven innocent, because we can't have all those dangerous drugs running around can we?

How about "Carbonated Beverage Camp"? A very refreshing oasis during the heat of the high noon sun.

We had a camp mate who collected all the empty containers from Pie Fight Camp, to weld together and decorate his art car. It looked great and he was commended for his green recycling efforts. His response was priceless: "Whah, whaddaya mean---where am I"?

so if you had loads of empty cannisters you could reasonably claim you intended to recycle them or had simply picked them up as moop, the ballon was simply a balloon (though you need to get someone else to carry the cracker i suppose, but is it all worth it for a 30 second giggle? personally myslef i wanted to be sure all the things I remembered at BM actually happenned.

Delle, you stumbled upon an inherant problem. Do you pick up the tiny canisters of moop and have them in your possession to incriminate you, or do you leave them? This is the same problem people drinking beer in a car have. Do you keep the empties in your back seat for the police to see, or do you toss them out the window as you go? It's almost as if the law requires you to litter if you don't want to get in trouble.
I think I have to get rid of all the tea spoons in the house, so I am not accused of shooting up heroin.

Kind of missing the point.

The alternative being leaving it on the ground for someone else to have to deal with it, which seems somehow wrong. I understand the wisdom of leaving a pipe or a container of drugs for someone who might appreciate them to find, but the canisters (and now the balloons) are Just Garbage in my mind. Kinda like toilet paper or feathers.

My impulse is to pick it up and pack it out.

Ignorance having been bliss this time around, I did just that.

It just seems a shame to have to think twice about it next time, and to leave it there for someone else to pick up. Is there not a "hazardous moop" dropoff spot for such things?

Just as an aside... LEOs last year were making it a point to make the point that those brass or stainless thingys that pop Nitrous cans into a balloon for intoxicant use of said NO2 are considered and treated as "drug paraphanalia"... Like flashing a bong around out there, it's not a good idea to be having shit like that at BRC, unless you would like to catch the scenic chauffered one-way ride to beautiful metropolitan Lovelock.

Remember - Nevada laws are NOT like California with regards to such "ventures" - what may be tacitly or explicitly legal in California may well be a felony in Nevada, and they treat it as such.

Just be careful - that bus you bought a ticket for and just got on board thereof... may not be headed in the direction you want to go.

the easiest and best way to get rid of contraband moop is to eat it, on the spot.

as far as canisters go, if you are carrying a moop bag, and its filled with moop, and the canisters are in the moop bag, then you can reasonably argue that you are indeed, cleaning up, and not holding it for a friend.
