I put this on the highest quality, and put it on the TV last night. The ladyfriend looked at me and said "You're obsessed, you know that?"

By the middle of it, she was bouncing up and down saying "OH! I WANNA GO BACK! I have to go back... " Then she looked at me and said "Ok, next year we stay for the temple burn, and we go in early to help our friends set up camp. Make a 2 week vacation of the whole thing."

Heh. Now who's obsessed?

This video is such a gift. Thank you for sharing, you made my day! The dust patterns in the wind are so beautiful. As a first timer in 2011 I know I haven't experienced the wrath of the dust, but the mini flurries I experienced transfixed me.

I was looking forward to I and my campmates, and whomever getting routed back into a yurt to hide out during a long dust storm. It was a romantic ideal in my head... that never happened. Next year!

I love in the video how at the end it looks like a giant dust cloud comes and wipes away almost the entire city. Like the people down there just turned into playa dust and blew away.

The 3 side is much more dust storm free than the 9 side et al due to prevailing winds and location of gate.
