Why not? I mean I was skeptical of it at first but in fact of all the themes it may have been the most successful. Ok, maybe today the word would go out that you can't just slap an old boat on wheels to make your art car, but I bet people could do a lot with Floating World 2: The Sequel.
I have to say the last few years of themes have left me somewhat uninspired. Green Man was the strangest -- the pavilion was a failure, and the event was far from ecological, but some great giant art like Big Rig Jig and Crude Awakenings came out of it. (Almost nobody did the "Green man" nature god variant.)
My favourites have been:
Floating World
Vault of Heaven
Wheel of TIme
The low points have been:
Rites of passage
Hope and Fear
Psyche
Seven Ages
Some, like Nebulous Entity and other early themes were very limited. It was not until Wheel of Time that themes had a large influence -- and that got us our clock streets. I will give that the Body and Seven Ages by having all their variants created a memorable central alley. Some themes just never got taken up by the participants, it seems. There may be something to learn.
