The Satellite Overflight of BRC will be at 11:49am on Thursday 9/1
this year. I believe they are tasking the GeoEye-1 satellite with
50cm resolution (as opposed to 1m resolution on the IKONOS satellite
used last year).

Please announce far and wide and encourage people to lay out art to be
photographed from space. I know the water trucks have some plans this
year.

The Geoeye version is supposedly 3m. Anyone know where to get the full photo, or is that all we can expect?

That was a project of Jim Bower (the One Mile Clock) and tribe to make the biggest word ever on the playa. They gridded it off, dug a shallow (like less than 3 inch) furrow and the water truck crew was all about helping out, planned it out knowing how fast their water evaporates did a real fast run just before 11:49.

Just tried saveing a picture after it went to the white screen and it put it in my pictures just fine, but not on screen from the link.

I couldn't display it in my browser but it downloaded the full res .jpg just fine..
