Just got back from Rainbow Gathering...fun, WAY different then the Burn....Burning Man is much more my scene. Cant way to see MY family again, Rainbow was wondeerful, but not my family. I like our Gift Economy better than their Barter Economy....Anyways LOVE YOU ALL! Thanks for changing my life, I love You.

I've been to a few Rainbow gatherings. It was like everything I hate about BRC & Country Faire rolled into one!

Don't hate on the Rainbow Family. It's just as diverse as BM. There are plenty of schwag hippies there.. you just have to weed your way through them to the beautiful souls.
I mean BM costs A LOT of money when it comes right down to it. Not everyone can afford it, ya know? Rainbow is free. Of course that means the crowd may not be as immaculate as a place where you have to have a good enough job to be able to afford the ticket, the trip and to be able to take off a week for vacation. But it doesn't mean it's bad. Just a thought!

Not that originality is all that counts. But I did like the bit where outsiders don't see any difference between Rainbow and Burningman. There are people who don't see any difference between the Moors in Spain and al Qaida. I don't see that as any reason not to go to the Alhambra.
