It just occurred to me that I need to return to the playa to honor not just my daddy who recently passed away but my mother too who passed away 22 years ago. I realize it's last minute but thats ok. If its meant to be it will be. I haven't been able to go for the past few years so I could care for my ailing dad and now that he is gone I have come to the bittersweet place of freedom. It is time for me to take care of my self and regain inspiration for my own art. After reading about some of these amazing art installations, it's just what I need to paint my next piece and write my next chapter. The playa is calling and I'm ready to throw caution to the wind and go. I am willing to pay whatever you think is fair from one burner to another.

Go in 2012. Waiting another year will not be a mistake. It gives you time to get centered and grounded with your grief, rather than driven by it. At this point it's really trying to force things, and that's typically a recipie for disaster.

not to mention finding a ticket is near impossible. unless you wanna pay $600+ that is.

getting tickets was a full time job for me since July 25th, just got the two tickets i needed on Monday. Believe me, i was a slave to my computer constantly refreshing all day every day- sometimes even when i got up in the middle of the night to pee i would quickly check before going back to bed. it's a bitch! good luck though.

That's not the playa calling, it Emergency Medical Services. Throwing caution to the wind is how you get your own personal helicopter flight to Reno, or wind up floating face down in the playa river.
