But at that distributor's website, it says "actual sizes are 4" to 6" shorter in length and width than order size." So which do I get? The 16x24, or the 20x30?

so, are you building this, for Liliputians?
Are the tarp dimensions you use in feet? if so, and the tarps are 4 to 6 inches shorter, I'd think 20x30 feet might be over kill. Unless, of course, all dimensions are in inches?
Also, there are sites to order tarps, to exact finish sizes.
and, with a design like that, you can modify the frame dimensions, if you need it to be exact. Or, just let it be 3" off the ground on each side, and 2" short on the ends, since, if you use "ball bungees" they'll make up the gap.
Improvisation, is a good thing.
Just my opinions, though YMMV.
rgk wrote:So should I get a tarp that is one foot larger than the specified dimensions? I called Creative Shelters and left them a message, as no one picked up.
All tarp sizing is like that. The idea is that if you have, for instance, a
frame size of 10x10, the tarp will be a bit smaller so it will sit in the
center of that frame and be suspended by the ball bungies. So you would
still buy a 10x10 tarp, but it's actually a bit smaller.
You can kind of see in these illustrations how it's supposed to work in a
normal commercial frame (see 8 & 9)

For the basic Galaxy Hut it's a 16 x 24 foot tarp. For the advanced Hut
it's a 20 x 24 foot tarp.
