MySQL Troubles

Greetings:

Unfortunately the new machine that the ePlaya was migrated to is having some intermittent database issues. We are looking into resolving them. Sorry for the inconvenience. Aside from that, everything else seems to be working great. After this weekend, we'll be back to start addressing issues from the Bugs thread.

Technical Version:

MySQL seems to lock unexpectedly. Not quite sure why. MySQL didn't get much heavy use on this machine before the ePlaya migration, so we couldn't have known this in advance. We are looking to reinstall MySQL, possibly this evening. I seems that it is in a strange half-installed state, possibly from a dist-upgrade that wasn't completed. Like I said, we're looking into it.

Well, that sucked. I guess our hand was forced and we had to do it RIGHT NOW. So, the database is now running on a different machine. Let's hope that eliminates the problem and it's smooth sailing from here.
