LARRY HARVEY HAS BETRAYED THE COMMUNITY! Starbucks, WikiLeak

Postby sktELEMENT » Wed Dec 29, 2010 6:33 am

The Wikileaks guy revealed that Larry Harvey has been receiving funds from Starbucks to allow Starbucks to sell coffee at center camp! I always thought it was wierd that they sold coffee and gatorade...Ice is the only thing that makes sense for essentials... This may be old news but I JUST found out about it...

Well, these days the satire sites DO tend to be the better news sources... :? (You just have to be careful about taking what they say literally, of course.)

Skt, I really do appreciate the fact that you called yourself out. We all have those "oops" moments.

Some of the comments in those articles are priceless. That V guy just about loses his shit.

Even it was true, I don't understand why you would care so much. I can understand the value of non-commercialism at BM, but really, if selling coffee in center camp helps the BMORG get more funds, power to em!

...And please no generalist statements like "Well it starts here, the next thing you know there will be a Mcdonalds in BRC." Yeah, I don't think so.

Well, I think these things work by tapping into the resentment that so many have against Harvey. They'll believe anything that makes him look bad, because they don't like him. The first one that caught me was the rumor that he flew to Reno every evening in his jet because he didn't really like BRC. I've learned to be more careful and try to ask myself if I believe it because I want to or if it's actually believable.

the real truth is he takes a limo to winnemucca every night, and picks up his cocaine in Hardon.
