Hey, would anyone be able to help getting me in touch with a somebody in charge of the contra dancing happening at 2011's festival??
I'm with a really great and nationally-touring contra dance band called 'Eye of the Monkey' and we'd love to be on the playa doing some contra. Our music is super high-octane old-time incorporating beatbox (vocal percussion), banjo-uke, and extra funkiness.

Mr Jubal, welcome to E-playa!

Although I have no specific information for you, I can confirm that there was indeed a square dancing / contra dancing camp in 2010. It was in the 4 or 5 Street area. I stopped and listened for a while -- what a wonderfully cheerful sound they had!
