We are using the program to control the animatronic robot characters, stage lighting, and audio. It's smart to link DMX with Ableton and I applaud the guys who did it. We are using an internal MIDI route to our existing ethernet and USB interfaces to control our (you guessed it-- existing) banks of AC and DC relays. This allows us to use the some of our existing lighting without getting into the more pricey DMX gear.
