Privileged 'glitter ponies' aside we've all had our financial difficulties. Early in life we learn to budget and manage our expenses. Earning, Saving and planning for an expense is a 'Rite of Passage'. Some of us never learn.

In a bid for the most ECO-friendly DEEPgreen temple eva. I would like to propose that the Temple be represented by a large pile of cold hard CASH muthafukkin MONEY. Euro's, Dollars, Yen, etc. Of course it would be encased in bullet proof glass with 24 hour police guard until the Sunday burn.

Participants will be encouraged to bring their own currency with notes to loved one scribbled upon. (Please no dead cats, the fire is just not hot enough.)

It is the ultimate Idol.
Everyone will crowd around - elbowing their way to the front to try and guess how much money is in there. As I write 'dear Grandma..' I'll stop to think about how she told me not to let my money burn a hole in my pocket. Some will think about the hungry or less fortunate. Others will let the dark side take control and conspire to make off with the loot late in the evening. Some will get it and laugh while pouring a beer out to their dead homies (RIP BDP!) Some won't get it and will feel cheated in some way because their preconceived idols didn't make it this year.

Of course we won't let you down. I know you all like a good bonfire. So in the coming year we'll collect and re-use wood from abandon homes in Detroit and Flint. Stealthly demolish homes that the bank has stolen in California and Nevada. It will be piled higher than the man has ever stood it will look like shit but on burn night the perfectly stacked currency along with the love note scribbled bills will be soaked in fuel and placed in the center. Maybe even have a video camera in there so we can all watch it burn. Space Cowboys could rebroadcast the feed from their ATAVAV!
We'll all hug and cry and think about how awesome it would be to have our student loans or medical bills paid off and we'll have a long long time to think about it because it will be the biggest fucking fire that has ever been on the Playa.

Shoot, there goes one day of Camp Chameleon, a camp with a large sign ala Harveywood - A - S - H.

On Monday it would be L A S H for our S&M brethren, on Tuesday S A S H where all manner of cloth belts, obis, scarves etal would be there for the taking, Wednesday, F L A S H (raincoats optional), Thursday would be S M A S H an alternative to Thunderdome for releasing aggression, Friday would be B A S H an all night party, Saturday would be T R A S H replete with burn platforms, Sunday, A S H for obvious reasons, and Monday was going to be C A S H where we would reuse the burn platforms and lghten the load for departing burners.

I've seen what burning money does to a deadbeat, the guy went insane when I burned a $20.00 in front of his eyes instead of loaning him MORE money (after he asked yet again)...it was awesome! Of course as I held up the bill and lit it on fire I said, "I'd rather BURN this money than loan it to you"

I thought the the user/mooch/deadbeat/lazy punk would laugh...man was I wrong. He tried to tear me and my house apart, very interesting reaction.

If there is a Temple of Cash 2011, I think the crowd could go wild in so many ways, it's unthinkable...

That being said...I've got a $20.00 at least. I'd write "To all you deadbeats, may you RIP ASAP" on the other side "To all my loved ones, it's only money"
