I cannot tell you how heart-broken I am about missing the ePlaya Meet-n-Greet. I was looking forward to meeting you all so very much. Unfortunately that day the mister overdid his body's limitations and it hit him hard when we were way out at the Temple. I had to sit with him, give him water, cool him down, keep him from barfing on the beautiful Temple and generally take care of him until we could hobble back to camp. By the time we got there, we were starving so I had to make us some food. When we'd finally recovered from our ordeal there was Shambala coming back from the Meet-n-Greet telling me how wonderful it was to meet you all. So, apparently I'll just have to come back to the Playa and meet you all next time. I'll keep this special Barbie I had ready to donate to Dr. Pyro until then.

Oh...but I did get to meet Bling who stopped by our camp when me and the mister were trying to set up. Needless to say we were covered with sweat and dust, crabby, and not even in costume yet. I kept hoping she'd come bay again. I also got to meet OhCarie in the Exodus line. She and her mister were two cars behind us in our pulse pod. And of course I already knew Shambala. I'm sorry I missed meeting the rest of you (C.f.M., AntiM, Dr. Pyro, gyre, MisaBlue, ygmar, Jella, burner_cricket, Token, Eric, and so many other fine people I've met here).

Doc, thanks for inviting me and my gang to stay with you we had a blast! The RV made it home slowly but surly, I'm probably gonna start work on her in a couple weeks getting her ready for next year.

gerlachedNloaded, wtf, where were you? I asked around, a lot, if anybody had seen you arrive yet, with no prevail! Truly sorry I missed you.

Misa Blue, It was a shame I only saw you for a couple of minutes at the MnG. We were with in ear shot and only ran into each other for a minute.

Now that I think about it, if I wanted to run into anybody in our village, I probably should have spent time in the village, besides for sleeping. (and working on the damn RV!!!)

I too was bummed that I missed it. Although I stopped in for a few minutes before it really got going, I was just too ill (I had a touch of food poisoning) to hang, I had to go back to camp to lay down for a bit.
I hope some of you got a taste of the Sierra Nevada Crystal Wheat beer that I left, and some of the 'stop posting so much' flyers.

Thanks so much for the Meet and Greet. It was a great experience and it was a special treat to see The Contraption there and to converse with people I admire.

illy, i was lookin for you too. wandered by your general vicinity a few times but to no avail. i was camped right next to Texas Joe's trailer and CJ's yurt.
to the rest, was great to put faces with names finally. didn't get a chance to talk to most, but the ones i did were great! esplanade was calling me

illy, I could'nt find you either. I snooped around the vicinity on Tuesday and Wedensday looking for a motorhome with Colorado plates and found none. But my detective skills were never that great. Course I left the MnG around 7:15 or so cuz I did'nt have very good lighting on my bike.

We we're right on the corner of the access roads... until some fools popped up and set up a camp right in my front door. But they turned out to be really cool so it was all gravy in the end.
We had the CO flag flying (encase ya don't know what the CO flag looks like its, my icon with out the Man holding up the Sun). In any case its really too bad that we all missed each other. Next year fer sure!

From what I experienced with some really good friends of mine, Barbie Death Camp puts you to work cleaning up THEIR messes and then puts their hands on people who disagree with them over it and kick them out of the camp. I've heard many complaints from this camp. DON"T CAMP THERE!!!!

Scotty, we don't do that, but I know from where you speak. One of our campmates (who I did not even know was going to show up this year) got very frustrated when two of your fellow Orlando peeps, who shall remain nameless, refused to help with anything. (Full Disclosure: That was what I was told from the gentleman who set up the camp. Only had one side of the story.) Cleaning, picking up moop, contributing labor or time for the good and welfare of their own camp within the Village. Now, did I see that with my own eyes? No I did not. And if someone doesn't want to camp with us, and I never suggested we were everyone's cup of tea, because we certainly are not, then don't. But to bad-mouth an entire Village, or even BDC&WB, on the less-than-favorable experience of a couple of newbies, I would suggest most people would give us the benefit of the doubt. YMMV.

Dr. Pyro, I do apologize for bad mouthing the camp. I was under the impression the one they were in the altercation with was the one that ran the camp. I have no right to down the whole camp, but there is more to it than I think you know. I just feel that Burning Man is supposed to be a peaceful event and it hurts to see things like this going on.

I thought it was an awesome camp!
Having a shower kicked ass. Even if the shower froze my balls so hard my voice jumped up two octaves in a matter of seconds.
Me and my entire camp agreed that we should have spent more time in the actual 'Barbie Death Camp' main shade area. We pretty much only stopped by when we were looking for people.
We probably would have spent more time at BDV if we camped someplace else. Weird how that works.
