Happily, my camera bit the dust when I entered the playa the Wednesday preceding. But here is my chance to make a simple request. Flickr has way too many pictures taken off-playa yet tagged "burningman", and bad snapshots, and similar time- and space-wasters. It would be nice if people edited their work before submitting it to the world.

My photos from 2010 Burning Man have been edited, cropped, straightened, enhanced, and/or color-balanced, and are available for viewing on the web as my gift to the community.

I am so grateful for being able to see others photos. I took about 320 pics of which only 6 were not blurry. I was really bummed mostly for the loss of people and our camp (Camp Upsie Dasium/Gravybrain at 7:30 Athens, we had the wooden 3 story tower) pics. If anybody has any pics of our tower let us know!

It's so great to see everyone else's photos since I didn't get away from our cozy camp as often as I'd liked. Each documentation of the Playa is different but somehow familiar. I love it! Keep 'em coming please!

nice set Darren! if you want to be very thorough with your flickr pictures go here:

http://playaevents.burningman.com/brc/2 ... allations/

and you can "machine tag" each art piece on your photo page and that will lead back to the location, description, artist, and contact info. the more popular pieces have already been tagged and you can see pictures of what they look like at the bottom of each piece's page.

Thanks Homies. It's in the plan, but oddly enough the real world of work is getting in the way of all the tagging I'd like to do. Hopefully at some point they'll get tagged.

Beautiful pictures Ex/Darren.

Very thorough....it'll take me a while to really look at all of them.

FYI...The Burning Man Earth map doesn't appear to be accurate, at least for me.
It looks like last years map.

Alrighty, here's my first uploaded set. More next month, 'cause I'm a cheap motherfucker who won't pop for the "pro" account.

Hmm. I didn't take enough pictures this year.

Had a great time shooting! It was pretty tough to edit down to under 200 pics, but here goes:

It turns out to be Michael Christian, who I haven't actually met but is a friend of our friend Allen Christian (not related). They both worked on Michael's sculpture "Home":

Oh, and btw folks I went to the lennyjones' link and my Norton virus protection flagged something from the site. Anyone else get a warning like that?

Yes I see that now. I actually made the vid for Michael on a lark, funny to have it linked back at me. Michael does beautiful work and it's a beautiful piece, nice guy as far as I can tell, but I don't really know him either. Thanks for following up.
