I'm determined to keep my melted block ice in a container that keeps it clean enough to drink rather than let it become sludge at the bottom of the cooler. ePlyans say zip lock bags are not well sealed, so I want something better for my ice/water.
Those who use block ice from varous vendors, do you feel there's a standard size for block ice? (Google didn't help much.)
Or better yet, does anybody know the dimensions of Arctica's block ice?

Rectangular object, one by four by nine ...
Just get crushed ice. It will fit whatever container you choose.
The round igloo coolers with a sealed screw top lid are great for cold beverages.

BTW, it's an 8 lb block and can be shaped to fit whatever you want with an icepick.

Not yet. I put on some socks last week and am too lazy to change my avatar. I'll be out there Saturday and I'll post my findings.
