2010 marks the fourth evolution and year of the Reno-Sparks-Wadsworth Free
Drive-Thru Recycling Project in support of burners during and following Burning
Man.
Friday, August 27 through Wednesday, September 8 - Open 24 Hours
ACCEPTED RECYCLABLES: Plastics (SPI 1,2,3,4,& 5), glass, all metals (aluminum,
tin, steel, brass, etc.), paper, cardboard, plastic bags, household
(rechargeable and disposable) batteries, bicycles, and non-perishable food and
water.
Simply drive into the parking lot and sort and deposit your recyclables into the
appropriate containers. Please have your recyclables as clean as possible and
remove from bags before depositing.
Disposal of non-recyclable waste will also be available for recyclers at
approximately $3 per standard 35-gallon trash bag.
Proceeds from recyclables, and proceeds beyond expenses for garbage disposal,
will be donated to help support new Black Rock Solar installations in the
region. Non-perishable food and water will be donated to local Food Banks.
Bicycles will be donated to local Kiwanis and American Legion bike projects.
Your participation and care is very much appreciated in this fourth year of a
multi-community initiative to promote recycling!
