FINALLY a place to use some handy skills to their fullest!

been following the eplaya since BM09 scouring for information as i had decided around that time to make the journey in a years time. too busy preparing to introduce till now (a break in the excitement for a minute).

Comin outta south metro denver (littleton/englewood) area

Camping alone (probably between 730 and 830).
I've been scouring eplaya for awhile though (EMT dome construction, location preferences etc.) To try and make the first time go as smooth as possible, at least in regards to controllables.

I did the same thing last year a.k.a my first year. I found the ePlaya to be way helpful.
How many folks are you camping with? How many vehicles? What types of vehicles?
We're gonna be camping with Barbie Death Camp this year, at 3:30 and E.

as it stands now there will be three of us (potential for two more if they get their act together) all of which are fresh to BM.

We're planning on taking 1 rv big enough to sleep in and contain our stuff (3-5 person?) and Preparing materials and such for a 2v 8.2ft.r EMT constructed dome for our main 'living' area.

i guess i dont have handy skills in the traditional sense... but im ready and willing to go balls deep into a project i may have never heard of and utilize my 'creative thinking' to make it work. for example, a geodesic dome structure.
first timers might normally be a tad shaken by even thinking about the amount of work needed just to make it through the week there, let alone supplementing their gear to make it as 'easy' as possible the first time around.

plus i love using tools or gadgets of anykind. there is always a tool for the job, you just might have to make it

illy- prelim plans are lookin like shove off will happen sunday afternoon to arrive monday morning-afternoonish. arrival with sunlight for camp building and bearing catching. planning on taking the north route through WY>UT>

this may be pushed out another 24hrs depending on how the last minute excitement/packing etc. goes. (naturally this could all change entirely in the next 6 weeks, but shouldnt)

super fast construction once the prep was done. modular (awesome) adjustable (awesome) playa tested design (very awesome).
now to just go balls deep into a windstorm with it!

disaster (for us - for now).
RV rentals are apparently tricky and they dont like to put all their fee information clearly online. SO as it stands now, no definite transportation (short of a midsize truck packed to the gills).

anyone know any burner friendlies who might lend us theirs if they arent attending? currently maddashing to find alternatives.

2010 was GREAT! a wonderful first time out!

One of the three who went in our group turned out to be perfect sparkle pony material. what a bitch... but its cool, everyone had a great time despite the issues that popped up.

and NOW,

2012 will be venture #2 back home for me. and im bringing a virgin buddy of mine. He's been dying to come out, and its gonna be a blast.
We got confirmation of tickets today, and have been planning our camp for a couple months now.

Can't wait to get back!
