Who is telling you? Because if it isn't on the main site or announced in the Jack Rabbit, it is mere rumor. I highly doubt there will be water sales.

Yup, there will be water sales.

Once they saw how easy it was to fill up the pool out by the trash fence, they figured why not wrangle more money out of the suckers who don't know what they're doing out in the desert and sell some water.

Technically there is water for sale at Burning Man, in the form of ice. You can buy it just to let it melt and use the water.
Too much is not enough, and when in doubt double it.

IIRC, you can also arrange for potable water deliveries, along with septic pump out.......

There is that, but it's on a random basis, you flag the truck down when you see it. There's also a certain ribbon you can tie up high to let them know you want them to stop, but you need to be there, with lots of cash. You have to have a tank or container of some sort, and I doubt they're gonna wanna sit there filling up small jugs - but of course, if you need that, enough money talks loudly.

Having suggested two possible options, I'll still tell you, bring what you need!
Never count on buying what you need on-playa. Though there are exceptions, they aren't always reliable and that just isn't generally the way the whole thing works.

They're going to syphon Pyramid Lake into Lake Lahontan. Just for the duration of the Burn.

Bruno's gas station in Gerlach sells water for your container. I have no idea how much they charge.

You can get packets of powdered water at Costco, much easier to transport and won't spill or evaporate.

haha -

april 1 has come and gone on eplaya - not as juicy as in years past.

Water delivery on playa is a fact, but must be prearranged. 50 gallons is minimum...

Pm for list of vendors. (its a short list of 3)
