After looking through Tribe.net postings on tents, I found a good review on this one:
http://grizzlymike.com/camping/TREK/TRE ... L_237.HTML
It's built like a super-discount model of a Kodiak or Vagabond in that is is able to be completely zippered up with no mesh at all. Anyone used a tent this high or a model similar to this and have pros/cons? Thanks!

High as in height -- last year I used a dome tent that I could barely sit up in. Relatively short, and relatively wind-resistant.

Wow, cheap Chinese knockoff made from nylon instead of canvas for 1/5 the price. Disposable Springbar lookalike!
I say go for it and report back. You have no idea how many people are looking for the comforts of a Springbar but are too cheap to invest into something that will last decades. This might be the magic tent.

I went for it Token, and will definitely report back. Apparently this particular model is purchased by a lot of Burners -- the folks at the store that sells it say they know it's for BM when they get an order in. I'm optimistic, but also bringing extra rope to tie down the sides.

I bought one and I plan to tie a heavy tarp over the top and stake it down.
We'll see.
Most cheap tents have abysmal zippers.
They say the canvas tents are better but the windows must be taped for dust.
It's 237, by the way.
I still want a springbar.

I ordered wednesday and asked them to expedite.
Arrived here friday.
I'm close.
Made in china.
I'll let you know after I setup what I think.
Anyone know a good place to get proper stakes quick?

You cannot set this tent up by yourself.
The poles don't cinch.
It is kind of a toy version of a springbar, but no spring.
White!!! roof.
NO MESH, so it works.
The windows don't have a zipper on the top.
They told me I could tape them shut.
That doesn't work.
Bottom of doors has no zipper, like the springbar!!!Why?!
Stress made the zippers come open on the doors, so dust leaked in.
I wrapped it in heavy billboard material with Mylarry's help.
The wind would have taken it out the first day otherwise.
It stayed cool until noon.
Not a perfect playa tent, but you can do much worse.
This would do great inside a carport or shade structure with a windbreak.
I'll make you a deal on mine.
Never rained on.

It sprinkled. More of a cruel tease of a rain.
The Alps fill the mind with an agreeable kind of horror.
