Just saw on the news that Mr. Squiggles in particular has a supposedly unacceptable level of antimoney.

Not sure what antimoney is, but I suspect it to be something like a hug from a stinky hippy.

What are you, ignorent? Camp Granada was performed by Alan Sherman. Tom Lehrer, arguably the best satirist of his generation, wrote The Elements (to the Gilbert ane Sullivan tune "The Major General Song") which was performed on his album "An Evening Wasted With Tom Lehrer". Some people need to brush up on their pop culture.

Since we're now on a topic I know something about, I met Tom Lehrer back in the 1970's and got a chance to spend about half an hour drinking and just talking with him. He's rather short, probably no more than 5'7" and had very leftist politics. But was funny as hell. He performed a number of songs, many of which had been updated from his "That Was The Year That Was" album. Also did Poisoning Pigeons as well as some of his songs from The Electric Company ("Silent E" and a dirty version of the same song). But I think my favorite was "I Got It From Agnes" which as far as I know can only be found on the Tomfoolery show and his 3-disc CD "The Remains of Tom Lehrer". He's still living at the age of 81 in Santa Cruz but stopped performing about 20 years ago.

I have "I Got it From Agnes." Extra on a cd that had Songs by... and the songs from An Evening Wasted With... without an audience as an extra.

In the 80s there was a show called Tomfoolery, which I think had a soundtrack album (vinyl) that may also contain "I Got It From Agnes."

I have all the Dr. Demento fan club CDs. There's stuff on those which can't be found anywhere else.

My parents had many Alan Sherman records. I was raised on parody songs, so enjoying Dr. Demento was natural to me. I sent in a postcard from Japan and got a request on his show once. I was tickled pink. And I enjoyed the song too. (Uncle Jack Says Relax)

Yup, I listed to the Dr.Demento show every Sunday growing up, it was on right after we got home from church, so I guess I can say that I listened to it religiously.

Definately was a good release after being at church all morning.

What I remember from Dr. Demento was that half the songs were just not all that funny and that he was one of those hyper, over active radio djs and so the combination just was too much for me.

Once again, I missed a cultural touchstone due to my inner troll...
